Not only because technology plays an important role in production costs of most of the Agricultural products. Adapting agricultural production to the expected changes in the climate, natural resources, politics and economy in a way that takes notice the benefits of business, farming and consumers in each country and area requires professional knowledge and skills in developing, scheduling and adopting the new technology.
Using technology with best add value requires also knowledge to notice and utilize the local and infrastructural conditions, best suited machinery and production technology. It also needs improvements of the rural environment and utilizing the potential of agriculture in many other fields outside its traditional activities, e.g. taking care of nature, welfare services etc.
