Hand-over of EurAgEng presidency

As is custom after the AgEng conferences there is a hand-over of the EurAgEng presidency. This year the hand-over was done by Prof Peter Groot Koerkamp from Wageningen University, as the organizer of the AgEng2018 conference and president since then, to Prof Fátima Baptista from Évora University, organizer of this years' AgEng2021.

Fátima graduated in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Évora in 1992 and started a professional career at the University. She obtained the PhD degree in Agricultural Engineering with the thesis titled "Modeling the Climate in Unheated Tomato Greenhouses and predicting Botrytis cinerea infection". In February 2015, she submitted successfully to Habilitation proves in Agrarian Sciences. Since then, she is a Professor with Habilitation in the Department of Rural Engineering of the University of Évora.
Since 1993 she has been lecturing several courses of graduation, master and PhD degrees in the areas of agricultural and animal production engineering, and followed several updating courses herself.
Much experience has been gained over the years being engaged in many scientific and organizing committees, including on AgEng and ISHS conferences.

She is looking forward to getting more engaged in the EurAgEng network and setting ambitious goals for the future of the society. We wish Fátima the best of luck in her new role and hope that together we can guide the society away from the current crisis into new horizons.

Prof Groot Koerkamp remains active as immediate past president in support of our new president. We thank him for all the support we received in the past and for having him as the longest sitting EurAgEng president since the establishment of the society.
